Sometimes when people look at a page of beliefs like this one it can seem very rigid and institutional especially in the times in which we live. However, it is important that we are confident in our faith and what we hope for and have assurance about what we cannot see. Please do contact us if you would like to discuss more about the following:
We believe that God the Father has created the world, that he lovingly sustains it day-by-day and that he has sent his Son Jesus Christ into the world to bring salvation and hope for the future.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who entered the world and shared our human nature. He was perfect and completely obedient to God. He willingly died on the cross to carry the punishment for our sin and bring us forgiveness. Through his death and resurrection he offers eternal life to all those who put their trust in him.
We believe that God the Holy Spirit helps us to come to faith in Jesus, he makes us more like Jesus empowering us to live as Christians. He builds us into God’s family the Church, and helps us worship God in spirit and in truth.
We believe that God has spoken to us in the Bible, teaching us what to believe and how to live as Christians. As a Church we submit to the authority of the Bible and have its teachings at the centre of our activities and worship.
We believe that the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ is for the whole world and we seek to share it with people locally, and through mission agencies with those who don’t yet know Jesus in this country and around the world.
